Project Manager

Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn is celebrating more than 42 years of providing Architectural and Construction Administration services in the Pacific Northwest. Our projects include a specialty in criminal justice facilities, general government, and higher education projects. We provide architectural services for new facilities with an expertise in renovations. We are seeking applicants for a Project Manager position. This staff member will have full responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small to midsize projects including participating in pre-design, design, construction document development, and construction administration. The applicant will be involved with meeting with clients, assisting with contract development, project scheduling, knowledge of building codes, quality control and management of the design team and sub-consultants. The Project Manager will report directly to the Principals.
Skills and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted):

· Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in Architecture with special depth and interest in project management
· NAAB degree or Bachelor of Architecture degree; Master of Architecture preferred, or equivalent experience
· Must hold a State of Washington Architectural licensure; LEED Accreditation a plus
· Experience with AutoCAD 2009 or higher, Microsoft Word, Excel and Project required; Experience with Revit and SketchUp is a plus
· Prior general government, criminal justice or higher education project experience is a plus
· Construction experience is a plus
· Building assessment experience is a plus
· Must have a proven track record as a Project Manager on projects from pre-design through construction administration, including work plan development, cost estimating, coordination of all sub-consultants and agencies, and the ability to work with a variety of project delivery methodologies
· Excellent leadership, verbal and communication skills, and effective client relationship skills and talent for leading and working with diverse teams
· Working understanding of building codes, accessibility codes and permitting/licensing processes
· Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
· Ability to be flexible and contribute where needed to support project team

Job Captain

This staff member will be responsible for the development and creation of architectural CAD drawings through all phases of the project from pre-design through construction documents. The Job Captain will assist Project Managers with construction administration duties. The Job Captain will report directly to the Project Manager and Principals. This role requires strong organization skills and experience in construction document production.

Skills and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted):
· Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Architecture
· NAAB degree or Bachelor of Architecture degree, or equivalent experience
· Experience with AutoCAD 2009 or higher, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Photoshop required
· Prior general government, criminal justice or higher education project experience is a plus

· Extensive knowledge of design principles and standards

NVision Architecture is seeking the employment of a Project Architect / Manager. This person should be a senior level Alaska/NCARB licensed architect who has strong design, leadership, technical abilities, and writing skills with a resume of proven experience in the Alaskan environment. Minimum of 10 years’ experience that demonstrates established relationships with private and public cliental in the state of Alaska. Specific tasks will include project management, the development of architectural projects including schematic, design development, specifications, construction documentation and construction administration phases along with strategic planning and proposal/ marketing duties.  Additionally ability to communicate effectively with the client, all members of the design team, and leading/managing firm's technical staff is required.  Work may also include planning, feasibility studies, building assessments, BIM/Revit modeling and management, and LEED/Sustainable building design.

  • Licensed in Alaska or the ability to obtain license through NCARB

  • Solid understanding of the International Building Codes and local Zoning Codes
  • Excellent planning, decision making, organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Located in Anchorage, AK
